The Itu glass bead earrings are a new interpretation of the classic pearl jewelry. The luminous glass bead charms dangling from the hoop earrings are handcrafted by glass artist Nina Diaz-Halonen at her own studio in Helsinki. The beads are made from world-renowned Murano glass from Italy. The drop-shaped bail on the charms and the hoop earrings feature the rough, organic texture characteristic of the Itu jewelry. The hoops can also be worn on their own without the charms. Both the hoops and the charms are available for purchase separately. Gold-plated silver.
Kalevala’s contemporary design draws inspiration from the powerful nature of the North and its many interpretations. The Itu (Finnish for sprout) collection is born from the sculptural vision of designer and artist Martin Bergström. Itu is inspired by new life growing from a seed – by shoots that push up from the soft soil of the forest or through tiny cracks in city streets paved with asphalt.

Care instructions for silver jewelry
Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.
Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.
It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
