TUOTEKUVAUS JA OMINAISUUDET

The Männyt (Finnish for pines) earring is highly sculptural and attractive, but thanks to its hollow structure, it is pleasantly light to wear. The jagged structure on one side of the earring creates a sharp contrast to the smooth, softly waving surface. The jagged structure is either visible or hidden depending on which ear you wear the earring on. The earrings are mirror images of each other. The earrings are hinged, and the fastening pin locks into a silicone plug hidden inside the earring.

Männyt jewelry uses recycled silver as materials for this jewelry series. Jewelry pieces are made by skilled Finnish goldsmiths at Kalevala's own factory in Helsinki.

The Männyt jewelry collection has been designed by Finnish designer Ildar Wafin. This talented young designer has achieved success in international fashion competitions and received the Young Talent award at the Finnish Fashion Awards in spring 2024. Wafin's collection draws inspiration from the pine trees growing in the archipelago, their resilience, and rugged beauty.

Care instructions for silver jewelry

Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.

Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.

It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
against the darkening effect of impurities is provided by a tight plastic bag.
