PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND FEATURES

Since birds could fly, the ancient Finns believed they were messengers between humans and the gods. With their wings, birds would carry people's wishes and requests up to the heavens where the gods resided. A bird-shaped piece of jewelry was considered a lucky charm, bringing its wearer prosperity, success, and health. This bird was modeled after a pendant found in Southwest Finland, dating back the prosperous Viking Age. The Lintunen (Finnish for small bird) motif was part of Kalevala jewelry range from the 1950s through the 2010s. Width 26 mm. Bronze, stainless steel pin.

Care instructions for bronze jewelry

Bronze is an alloy of copper, tin and zinc which
tarnishes faster than precious metals. The new bronze jewelry has a jewelry protector
varnish surface that prevents the jewelry from darkening. With the Kalevala cleaning cloth, you can
polishes areas that have dimmed if the protective varnish has worn off.
After cleaning, it's a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water, so as not to damage the cloth
