An example of a very impressive brooch has been found in the village of Kaukola in Tyrvää. The jewelry comes from the first centuries of our era, the Roman Iron Age. With the proceeds from the sale of the Tyrvää buckle, Kalevala Koru supported the repair work of St. Olav's Church in Tyrvää, which was badly damaged in an arson attack in the fall of 1997.

Care instructions for bronze jewelry

Bronze is an alloy of copper, tin and zinc which
tarnishes faster than precious metals. The new bronze jewelry has a jewelry protector
varnish surface that prevents the jewelry from darkening. With the Kalevala cleaning cloth, you can
polishes areas that have dimmed if the protective varnish has worn off.
After cleaning, it's a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water, so as not to damage the cloth
