Tuukkalan soljen esikuvana on ollut Mikkelin Tuukkalasta löydetty palmettikuvioin koristeltu hopealevysolki, joka on peräisin ristiretkien ajalta. Tuukkalan solki oli yksi ensimmäisistä 40 Kalevala-korusta, jotka tulivat myyntiin vuonna 1937. Rintakorun halkaisija 46 mm.
