Maiden of the North plywood earrings red

For the autumn 2025 Season Sale we have made a limited edition of Maiden of the North plywood earrings. Drawing inspiration from the intricate plaited ribbon ornaments found on ancient jewelry, the Maiden of the North now glows in magnificent autumn hues. The earrings are impressive in size, but pleasantly light to wear. The Maiden of the North plywood earrings combining two shades of burgundy are available exclusively in our online store and Kalevala stores in Helsinki during the Season Sale or while stock lasts – only 100 pairs per color have been produced!

Made from responsibly sourced Finnish birch plywood, the earrings are dyed on both sides. The reverse is left unpatterned. The plywood elements are joined with bronze rings, and the hooks are gold-plated silver.

Handle your earrings with care to enjoy them for a long time. Avoid exposing them to moisture – don’t swim or bathe while wearing them, or store them in damp conditions. Cosmetics such as perfume and hairspray can damage both the wooden and metal parts. Plywood is a delicate natural material and should not be bent. Please note that as a limited-edition item, these earrings are not covered by Kalevala's maintenance service.
