The braided ribbon ornaments of the Maiden of the North earrings were inspired by the jewelry worn by our foremothers in the Iron Age. Made of warmly glowing bronze, the striking earrings are a true statement piece. The earrings are hollow at the back, which makes them light and comfortable to wear. Stud earrings; silver stud and back. The earrings are not mirror images of each other. A smaller version is also available.

JEWELRY STORY

In the Kalevala, the Finnish national epos, the Maiden of the North was a force to be reckoned with: stromg, cunning, wise and skilled in all sorts of magic and charms. She could use those chrams to make women laughm the winds blow and the sea howl.

Care instructions for bronze jewelry

Bronze is an alloy of copper, tin and zinc which
tarnishes faster than precious metals. The new bronze jewelry has a jewelry protector
varnish surface that prevents the jewelry from darkening. With the Kalevala cleaning cloth, you can
polishes areas that have dimmed if the protective varnish has worn off.
After cleaning, it's a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water, so as not to damage the cloth
the cleaning agent inside stains clothes.
