The impressive silver earrings are inspired by the Himmeli pendant designed by Paula Häiväoja in the 1960s. Width 30 mm, height 58 mm (including the hook). The earrings are mirror images of each other.
Fashion artist Paula Häiväoja (1929–2011) was the Head of Design at Kalevala Koru from 1963 to 1967. As the company approaches its 90th anniversary, Kalevala Koru honors the design legacy of its first female Head of Design by introducing jewelry inspired by Häiväoja’s futuristic jewelry art of the 1960s. The items are stamped with the anniversary year logo.
The new Himmeli* collection draws inspiration from Paula Häiväoja's iconic Himmeli necklace, designed in the 1960s. Häiväoja's futuristic, geometric design language was exceptionally bold for its time - and looks just as relevant today as it did over half a century ago.

Kalevala silver jewelry is handcrafted in Finland from sterling silver. More than 99% of the silver we use is recycled.
Over time, all silver jewelry darkens. Darkening can be prevented by regular cleaning and proper storage of the jewelry. Dark spots can be removed with a Kalevala cleaning cloth. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wash the jewelry in mild soapy water so that the cleaning agent does not stain the clothes. The cleaning cloth is not suitable for cleaning stones set in silver jewelry.
It is good to keep the jewelry in its original packaging. Additional protection for jewelry without
against the darkening effect of impurities is provided by a tight plastic bag.
